This is the desert of Arizona.
Some trees have very-very-very small leaves (to avoid evaporation),
others grow a green bark that can do photosynthesis (to balance out small size of leaves).
 

Ladies and Gentlemen, please take off your hat and respect the quietness of this place...

Remember the cartoon "Bip-Bip and Willie Coyote" (Bip-bip et Bill Coyote)?
This bird is called a road-runner. It's the mascot of Arizona.
They can walk real quickly, and ohhhh my gosh... They're damn noisy...
